What COVID-19 safety measures does Silcock’s Winter Wonderland currently have in place?

Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester and Quaytickets are following National Guidelines on Covid-19 to ensure that your event is delivered safely.

Our priority is still to ensure that our event is safe and enjoyable for everyone. COVID-19 Plan B has brought about a number of changes to our operation for the comfort and safety of staff and visitors.

What happens if the event closes due to COVID.

We may cancel or make changes to the timetable of events inside Silcock's Winter Wonderland and this will happen from time to time without notice to bookers. Where possible we will try to accommodate bookers but no refunds will be issued.

What happens if I am unable to attend due to self isolating or I have COVID?

You will be able to select a new session time to attend again at no extra charge. If the event has finished you will then receive a refund.

Can I take Insurance out on my ticket purchase?

Ticket Insurance is offered at the time of ticket purchase and covers for not being able to attend due to testing positive for COVID

Do you operate a payment plan?

Yes, we do, making it easier to spread the cost of tickets.

Can I used a Credit or Debit card within Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester?

No. We only accept cash within the event - but please be aware that cash machines are not available on site.

What is the nearest train station to Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester?

The nearest train station is Urmston. We are a short drive from all central Manchester train stations.

Can I reach Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester by bus?

There are numerous bus routes that regularly stop outside Event City. See stagecoachbus.com for more information.

Can I reach Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester by Tram?

The Barton Dock Road (Manchester Metrolink) station is the nearest one to EventCity.

Where do I collect my tickets?

All tickets are delivered by e-mail. You can show your ticket on your mobile phone screen there is no need to print them.

There will be a box office on site that can re-issue any tickets that have been lost.

Can I buy tickets on the door?

Tickets for any session can be purchased at our On-site Box Office from 4th December, however on the day prices will be more expensive then buying your tickets in advance. Due to the high demand for tickets, we advise you to book in advance online or over the phone to avoid disappointment.

Do I need to pay to bring a baby?

Children under the age of 3 go free and WILL require a free ticket.

Can I change to a different date closer to the time?

Yes you can exchange your tickets to another date. Subject to availability and £3 per order exchange fee. Call us on 0344 815 7131.

How many adults constitute a family ticket?

A family ticket consists of either 2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester welcomes visits by guests with disabilities. Wheelchair and disabled patrons are entitled to one free carer ticket per full-paying customer. Disabled parking is available in the Event City car park. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible and there are disabled toilets inside Event City. We will do all possible ensuring a safe environment during your visit, however, certain attractions can be demanding.

What security procedures are in place at the event?

There will be bag checks and additional security. No single adults will be permitted unless accompanied by a child. All bags brought onto site must be A4 size or smaller, no alcohol, sharp objects or glass. Baby food in sealed glass jars will be permitted.

We want you and your family to have the safest possibly visit to Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester. Please read about the many other Security procedures we have in place to protect you and your loved ones.

Do I need to allow extra time for security?

We recommend that you arrive ahead of your session time to allow for security checks.

Is there First Aid and Paramedics on site?

First Aid and Paramedics will be situated in the main foyer at the main entrance to the building, to the right of the toilets.

Do I need to bring cash?

There are no cash machines available onsite - we advise you to bring some cash with you to spend on food, drinks and games stalls.

What type of foods are available?

A wide selection of foods suitable the whole family will be on offer, including those with food intolerances as well as Halal, Kosher and Vegan options etc.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed on site.

Can you take your own food and drink inside?

Yes. You will be able to bring your own food, drinks and snacks into the venue. A variety of outlets selling food and drink can also be found inside.

Is everything included in the price?

Your Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester ticket gives you access to ALL rides and attractions. Please note that food, drink and prize stalls are not included in the ticket price.

Is the Meet and Greet with Father Christmas included in the price?

Meet and Greet with Father Christmas is free but does not include a gift by default. There will be an option to purchase a 'Gift from Father Christmas' from the Elf Box before entering the Meet and Greet (£4.50 cash or card). There is no obligation to buy. Please note Father Christmas Meet & Greet is only available until 24th Dec.

Can you have your photo taken with Father Christmas?

There will be an opportunity to have your photo taken with Father Christmas, an option will be available to purchase a photo voucher from the Elf Shed situated at the Father Christmas Meet and Greet.

Is parking free?

Yes, there are 3000 free car parking spaces at the venue.

Will there be a cloakroom?

There will be an on-site cloakroom and items are charged at £1 per items.

Do we have a Prayer Room?

Yes we do. Please ask at Guest Services Desk for location.

Do we have an area for Breast Feeding?

Yes we do. Please ask at Guest Services Desk for location.

What is the latest time we can stay for? Will we be asked to leave?

Your ticket covers all rides and attractions during one Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester session. Each session lasts four hours. The queue to meet Father Christmas will close 30 minutes prior to the end of each session.

What times are the shows on?

Shows run at regular intervals across Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester sessions. Each sessions last four hours and there are usually two sessions per day, one morning and one afternoon session. See the Winter Wonderland website for all dates and times.

What age is a child?

Guests aged between 3 and 16 years old are eligible for a child ticket. Visitors over the age of 16 will need an adult ticket, whilst those under 3 years old go free but WILL require a free ticket.

Are there Special Offer tickets?

This year as a thank you to NHS Staff, Armed Forces, Teachers, Retail Workers and Blue Light Card holders we will be offering special offer tickets priced at £24.50 (includes booking fee) from 7th - 10th December, 13th - 17th December and 2nd January. The Teachers offer is also valid on Monday 20th December.

Can I come without a child?

Due to the nature of this family event, we cannot allow groups of adults or single adults entry without an accompanying child. If you are joining a group who are already in the event, please respect our request that, prior to being permitted entry, you should ask the group to meet you at the entrance foyer where they can confirm that you are a member of their group.

Can you buy alcohol on site?

Yes, We have our very own German Bar selling a variety of beverages including alcoholic drinks.

Will the event be affected by bad weather?

No – the venue is indoor so adverse weather will not affect the event. There is a large covered foyer for visitors to wait in before the event.

Can older children visit on their own and be picked up at the end of the session?

No. Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester policy dictates that all children must be accompanied by a least one adult.

Can my home educator's group get the same special offer as school groups?

Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester would like to offer school rates to home educator groups, however you must be able to provide proof of home education when booking. School offer only applies on school days.

Do you operate a ride pass scheme for children with disabilities and additional needs?

Silcock's Winter Wonderland Manchester is fully inclusive. For children with learning difficulties, autism or sensory communication disorders, or those unable to queue a wristband is available from Guest Services within the event. We also have ear plugs available but please note the event can be very loud so if you have ear defenders, we recommend bringing these along with you.

What should I expect when I arrive?

We will be conducting our standard security checks when you arrive at the venue and would ask that you do not bring bags larger than an A4 peice of paper with you as cloakroom facilities are only available for coats.

We would ask for your patience and understanding with our staff when you arrive at the building as all of our procedures are in place to ensure your safety.

The NHS QR code will be displayed on arrival. Any Test and Trace information will be kept in line with our Privacy Policy and if required we may share your contact details with NHS Test and Trace.
