Win your school a visit to Silcock's Winter Wonderland this Christmas

One lucky school will be celebrating the festive season in style

Silcock’s Winter Wonderland Manchester is offering one lucky school from across the region the chance to experience some fantastic festive fun this Christmas.

The amazing attraction, returning to EventCity next month, has launched a very special Christmas competition – with the prize being a trip to Wonderland for every child at the winning school.

Silcocks has teamed up with Raring2Go! Magazine to offer the fabulous seasonal treat.

Schools just need to officially register their interest in the competition via email and then invite parents and supporters to go on to the Winter Wonderland Manchester Facebook page, like the competition post and comment with the name and postcode of their school underneath.

The competition runs until Friday 26th November and the winner will be chosen at random, with the prize – worth thousands of pounds - including entrance for the entire school to the seasonal spectacular. The winner will be notified on Monday 29th November.

Schools will be able to choose a date to visit between Tuesday 7th and Friday 10th or Monday 13th to Friday 17th of December and will receive a ticket for each child enrolled in the school along with supervising adults. Transport to and from the attraction is not included.

Any school who want to take part can register their interest by emailing

Silcock’s Winter Wonderland is bringing its own special Christmas magic back to Manchester for the first time in four years.

The Kingpin Events-organised Christmas celebration is being staged from Saturday 4th December 2021 to Sunday 2nd January 2022.

The giant indoor exhibition space at EventCity, next to The Trafford Centre, will be transformed into a magical wonderland which will feature more than 50 family rides and attractions under one roof including dodgems, roller coasters, waltzers, a ‘runaway train’ and inflatables.

A fantastic programme of theatrical shows will take place on the main stage including festive panto The Wizard of Oz, TV stars Daisy and Ollie, Ice Princess Show and Christmas Meltdown, plus the return of the spectacular Christmas Circus, all with daily performances. Not to mention being greeted by Elves and Fairies and the amazing surprises that are still to be announced!

Meanwhile Father Christmas – accompanied by real reindeer - will be taking time out of his busy schedule for meet and greets every day, up to and including Christmas Eve. You also have the option to purchase a toy and a photo from Father Christmas Toy Workshop.

And if this wasn’t enough there are also games stalls and festive foods, from German sausages to waffles and crepes, as well as an authentic German Bar for alcoholic drinks and refreshments.

Four hours of non-stop fun and entertainment all included in one amazing ticket price (excluding games and food stalls) and there are 3000 free car park spaces.

Organisers Tammy and Billy Silcock of Kingpin Events said: “We love to see the look on the faces of our young visitors as they step into the Silcock’s Winter Wonderland – it’s at the heart of the joy and magic of Christmas for us.

“The last 18 months have been tough on everyone but particularly on children who have spent so much time at home and separated from their friends and classmates during lockdown.

“This is our way of helping to bring the whole school community back together and giving them a festive season to remember.”

Jayne Deakin, editor of Raring2go! Bury, added: ““Raring2go! are delighted that their Best Family Day out award winners, Silcock’s Winter Wonderland, are back at EventCity for the 2021 season. Bursting at the seams with fun for all the family it really is a festive favourite not to be missed.”

Tickets are on sale now for the magical festive family adventure which is guaranteed to create that enchanting Christmas spirit and spread joy across the whole of Manchester and beyond.

As a special ‘thank you’ for all their hard work during the pandemic, there will be reduced ticket prices for members of the NHS and Armed Forces, available on specific days during the month-long run.

Organisers have also confirmed the return of the Celebrity VIP Night as well as their annual Charity Night, which this year has been pre-arranged with targeted NHS and mental health charities.

Silcock’s Winter Wonderland Manchester is operated on a session basis to ensure visitors can enjoy a covid-secure and enjoyable experience without overcrowding. There is also ticket insurance and a “buy with confidence, exchange with ease policy” should a ticketholder have to isolate, full details on the website.
